WHAT IS BIODIVERSITY?

Biodiversity refers to the flora and fauna of a particular ecosystem or set of ecosystems; it can also refer to the difference of biological makeups of the same species. These differences are what make them separate from other ecosystems. In a specific ecosystem you would find different plants, trees, mammals, insects, marine life, landscapes and more. Like mentioned above, different ecosystems host different species. Looking at a smaller level, each plant or animal category can be broken down. There may be multiple species of trees, multiple species of birds and multiple species of deer. Looking further, there is also genetic biodiversity among the same species.
